NHTSA

The US Department of Transportation via the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration [NHTSA] has been issuing urgent recall messages about the deadly threats of the tens of millions of defective Takata airbag inflators in major car brands. Babel Linguistics was commissioned for the creative copywriting of campaign pieces in Spanish language, including social media ads, web pages, canvassing letters, emotional emails, and billboards, as well as subtitling of TV commercials featuring actor Morgan Freeman.

The recall, which extends worldwide, affects as many names as BMW, Nissan, Honda, Toyota, Honda, Subaru, Mitsubishi, Chrysler, Ford, GM, and Mazda – for whom we have consistently created strategic messages in Spanish regarding the safety of their vehicles, recall repairs, appropriate prioritization of the vehicles, replacement-parts availability and timing, and the safety of the replacement parts being used. These notification campaigns keep launching on a rolling basis.

SERVICES PROVIDED: copywriting; translation, Spanish language; nationwide campaign: highway billboards, clips subtitles, social media calls for action, linguistic & cultural validation; layout verification
