Conference Interpreting

 The simultaneous interpreting team at Babel Linguistics has interpreted in numerous conventions over the years for the United Auto Workers of America (UAW) at the Cobo Hall (now the Huntington Place) and at the GM Center, in Detroit, Michigan. 

While we get to interpret for high-profile individuals in our line of work, one of these events became unforgettable as we had the opportunity to interpret for President Obama during UAW’s 36th Constitutional Convention. 

During conference interpreting, our various interpreters skillfully take turns in pairs inside the soundproof booth to interpret in simultaneous mode for international speakers and UAW’s president.
